Players not registered by 8:30 a.m. on May 11, 2012 may be denied entry to the Pro Tour.

MaRo au Pro Tour !pokemonben asked: Are you going to be at PAX East for the Avacyn panel?
Unfortunately no as I’m not going to PAX East. I usually only travel twice per year (having a family of five keeps me from traveling more). My two trips this year are going to be PT Avacyn Restored in Barcelona (as I couldn’t miss out in getting involved with this new all-day coverage)
Vu que le Pro Tour n'est plus public, il va me falloir me qualifier. :fanboy:

Pro Tour Avacyn Restored Invitation List FinalizedBeginning with Pro Tour Avacyn Restored, Wizards of the Coast is awarding Sponsor's Exemption invitations and airfare to players who showed excellence in play and positive community activity during the qualifying season but did not earn an invitation through other means. This consideration includes quantity and quality of finishes at Grand Prix events, Pro Tour Qualifiers, and Pro Tour Dark Ascension. Sponsor's Exemption invitations for Pro Tour Avacyn Restored have been awarded to Caleb Durward (USA), Pascal Maynard (Canada), Eric Meng (USA), Ben Friedman (USA), and Till Riffert (Germany). At the conclusion of future qualifying seasons, Wizards of the Coast will examine the list of uninvited players and award Sponsor's Exemption invitations at its sole discretion.

Without Elo or PWP invites to capture repeat near-misses, we are probably going to hand-invite a small number each time.
The qualification to get a Sponsor's Exemption can be summarized as "Have a season that impresses the decision-makers."
here's no answer to that question. If it was a checklist, we would have published a checklist.
There is intentionally no line. The line we're operating under (for now) is "five people."
It is post good enough results that the decision-makers notice you.
You're right, we could, but at the end of the day it is a subjective decision.
Yes, MTGO PTQs are part of the results we're looking at.
We're reviewing people on a seasonal basis.
The data is essentially public.

Avec plus de 50% de joueurs mondiaux aux USA, ce sera de toute façon des américains dans la majorité des cas.

Patrick Chapin @thepchapin
Hard to believe, but 1st time Finkel & Kai have ever tested together (both always wanted to) & they are both testing for realz... #scgblack
Patrick Chapin @thepchapin
No joke, seeing Kai & Finkel jamming 10 game set after set is inspiring. They both act like they have got something to prove...
Et la petite joke made in ChannelFireball :
Owen Turtenwald @OwenTweetenwald
How many members of team #SCGBlue does it take to screw in a lightbulb?
Owen Turtenwald @OwenTweetenwald
18. One to screw in the lightbulb and 17 to convince Tom Martell to ship the list he gets from Finkel.
