21-23/03 - Grand Prix Vienna - Sealed Theros/Born of the Gods

As we near GP Vienna (March 21-23), we would like to inform players of some additional on-site requirements implemented by Vienna authorities.

As is standard practice in this region for large public events:

• Anyone attending under the age of 18 is required to have a written consent from a parent or legal guardian in order to participate.
  
• Anyone under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian and is also required to have a written consent from a parent or legal guardian signed in person at the registration in order to participate.

Any player under the age of 18 who does not present the proper documentation or meet the requirements above will not be allowed entry into events.

I am 18 (or older), does this affect me at all?
No, but if you will be attending GP Vienna with any players aged under 18, please ensure that they meet the requirements listed above.

I am 14, what do I need to do?
Players aged between 14 and 18 require a written Consent and Release Form, signed by a parent/legal guardian (insert link to consent and release form). (sic)

I am under 18 and left my Consent and Release Form at home! Can my mum/dad give consent by phone or email?
No, we would need a written Consent and Release Form from your parents.

Who can accompany a player under the age of 14?
Players aged under 14 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian (a person who has the legal authority to care for you).

My parents are not able to accompany me; can my 20 year old brother do it instead?
If you have questions about having/being a guardian, please contact for additional information. (sic)

I am under 14, if my mum/dad accompany me will they need to pay an entry fee as well?
No. Doors are free so your parent or guardian will be able to attend the event without paying an entry fee.

I am under 14, can my mum/dad just come with me at the start of the event, then pick me up at the end of the day?
No. Players under 14 must be accompanied for the duration of the event.

I am under 18, if I do well am I still eligible to claim prize money?
Yes.

I am under 18, but won’t be playing in the main event, just spectating/playing in side events. Do I need to have a Consent and Release Form/be accompanied to attend?
A player under 18 playing in side events as part of GP Vienna is required to have a Consent and Release Form or to be accompanied as detailed above. If you will be spectating only there are no such requirements.

If you arrive before 5 pm on Friday and register for the main event (or show your preregistration email before 5 pm) then we will give you a promotional play mat (while stocks last)
