Pro Tour Nagoya is June 10-12, 2011.
Qualifiers for Pro Tour Nagoya 2011
Qualifiers for the Pro Tour held at Magic Weekend Nagoya start January 1 and run until April 10. Check the Event Locator to find an event near you that could earn you an invitation to the Pro Tour at Magic Weekend Nagoya. Magic Online Pro Tour Qualifiers will once again be run as well, so if you can't make it to an event near you, there's still a chance for you to qualify! Complete information on Magic Online qualifiers can be found here.
Entry Fee
Entry fee varies from location to location. Check with local organizer for specific information.
Tournament Structure
The structure for qualifier tournaments feeding Pro Tour Nagoya will be modified Swiss-style, with the Top 8 players playing in a single-elimination format for prizes and invitation(s).
Tournament Format
The format for qualifier tournaments feeding Pro Tour Nagoya is Extended. The Mirrodin Besieged expansion is not legal for use in the Extended format until February 4, 2011. Events held prior to this date will not use the Mirrodin Besieged expansion.
* Deck lists are required
Tournament Length
* Swiss rounds - 50 minutes per round
* Top 8 matches will have no time limit
* Number of Swiss rounds based on attendance according to the following chart:

* All players may participate in all Swiss rounds.

* Where necessary, the standings after the Swiss rounds will still be used to determine final order in the standings.

Players already holding an invitation to Pro Tour Nagoya are prohibited from participating in any qualifiers for Pro Tour Nagoya, with the exception of Grand Prix tournaments. Players may have earned invitations through cumulative past performance in the Pro Tour, appropriate Pro Tour Players Club level, winning a previous Qualifier, finishing Top 16 at a Grand Prix tournament, or by being an invited DCI player (valid upon the date of the official ratings invitation announcement for the appropriate professional tournament).

Magic Weekend Nagoya remains scheduled for June 11-13, 2011 in Nagoya, Japan. At this time Wizards of the Coast has no plans to postpone or cancel Magic Weekend Nagoya. If this changes, we will communicate this through our normal announcement channels."
