The Outpost Invitational

Hi all,

The second trimester of our Tournament Tracker has ended. The prizes
have been announced for some time now and they will be ready for distribution after the second
week of July. So, that would be it, right? Wrong!!! Here, in the Outposts, we are always
thinking of ways to add value in all our programs and enhance the playing experience
of our community. That is why we have another ace coming out of our sleeve:
'The Outpost Invitational'. The invitational is a special tournament open only to
the top 24 players of the General Outpost ranking. The format will be standard constructed
and the invitation policy allows the invites to pass down until the 24 places are filled.
The Invitational will take place in Outpost Brussels on the 2nd of August. The top 24 players
of the ranking will be asked to confirm their participation until 25 of July or pass down the slot.
Now, what is so special about the Invitational? Except the obvious prize support
for the tournament in the form of THREE boosters per participant everyone will receive a special life
counter and an MtG T-Shirt. And to put the cherry on top of the cake the first prize
will be an UNCUT COMMONS FACTORY PRINT SHEET.
There are a lot of collectors out there trying to get their hands on uncut sheets like this
and there very few MtG collectible items that look more impressive. So, the race is on and
good luck to all the top rated players that want to participate in this unique, exciting
tournament.

Could you be more clear about the top 24 ? Is it the curent one or the top 24 we just got from the end of the second trimister ?

Is it a single elmination tournament like masters use to be or a top 8 tournament or just swiss rounds ?

petites précisions par rapport à cela:
- on pourra avoir des boosters M10
- on aura pas les vounchers PR gratis avant la PR M10 et ils ne seront plus valables pour la PR Zendikar. Du coup, pour ne pas perdre le benef du vouncher, faut demander au TO de la PR M10 de faire une note.

Pvl m'a dit qu'il y avait exeption pr les bon de pre-release que l'on peut utiliser dès demain

l'invitational, c'est ce dimanche. je ne suis obv pas encore fixé sur le deck que je jouerai. ce sera soit Kithkin, auquel cas j'aurais besoin de 2 Honor of the Pure, soit un truc avec plein de couleurs dont du G et là j'aurais besoin de 4 Reflecting Pool pour la manabase et 4 Great Sable Stag pour le side.
je drafterai à opb mardi et peut etre vendredi. en tout cas si vous pouviez me preter ces 10 cartes ça me dépannerait.

mouais, enfin celui qui se fait le plus chier avec un deck fog, c'est quand meme son pilote!

il semblerait que ce tournoi ne puisse etre DCI (car sur invit'). du coup je peux me permettre un peu de fantaisie sur mon choix de deck. je me suis donc décidé: dimanche, je jouerai Jacky Gruul Control. c'est ma version du Maurice Gruul Control qui a fait 11e des Nats FR (faudra un peu chercher pour trouver la liste). ça gagne contre Wafo. j'en déduis que le deck est meilleur que celui de Wafo. et quand on connait les qualités de deckbuilder de celui-ci, on peux conclure que ce deck a breaké le format
par contre j'ai besoin de 5 cartes: 1 fire-lite thicket (land SHA RG) et 4 rootbound crag (land M10 RG). si c'est foil ou asiat, c'est encore mieux: pour Jacky, son deck Gruul, c'est comme sa super5 GT Turbo, faut qu'il soit pimpé :afro:

au cas où, si qq1 peut prendre aussi 2 Honor of the Pure et 1 Ajani Goldmane, ça me permettrai d'avoir un deck de secours si je ne trouve pas ma manabase.

au non, pas des Safehold Elite... c trop fort!!!!!!

Même Wafo y prend grave avec les élites parce que qu'il les déconsidère...


Ah, ouais, et je ris bien sur le "comme c'est pas dci je peux me permettre un peu plus de fantaisie..." comme si t'avais un rating à protéger... (sans médisance ou animosité)

ah je vois que je ne suis pas le seul à avoir lu le report du Maurice Gruul Control: unique

sur le coup du DCI, je suis à moitié sérieux quand meme. j'en ai un peu marre d'avoir mon composite plombé par le construit. j'ai donc bien envie de gratter qq pts. en étant à moins de 1600, ça ne devrait pas etre trop compliqué.
