The main tournament at Grand Prix Ghent is open to Magic players of all ages.

Players must have a signed publicity release form to be included in Wizards of the Coast's official online event coverage. Forms can be downloaded here (15k PDF) and will be available onsite. Minors must have a parent or guardian’s signature on this form. Publicity releases will be collected during registration.

Decklists are required
Each Player must use the same deck on Day 2 that he or she used on Day 1.

Tournament Structure

Modified Swiss-style (50-minute rounds).
If 799 or fewer players register for the event, all players with an X-2-0 or better record OR the top 64 players—whichever number is greater—will advance to the second day of the event.
If 800 or more players register for the event, all players with an X-2-0 or better record OR the top 128 players—whichever number is greater—will advance to the second day of the event.
The Top 8 players after the final Swiss round on Day 2 will advance to the Top 8 single-elimination finals.
Top 8 playoff matches will be best 2 of 3, and have no time limit. (Players are still expected to play at a normal pace and complete playoff matches in a reasonable amount of time.)
Where necessary, the standings after the Swiss rounds will still be used to determine final order in the standings.
For the first game of each match in the Top 8, the player that finished higher in the Swiss rounds chooses either to play first or to play second. For subsequent games in each Top 8 match, the usual Play/Draw rule applies (loser of the previous game decides whether to play first in the next game).

Planeswalker Points multiplier 8x, Rules Enforcement Level (REL) is Competitive (Day 1) and Professional (Day 2)
The Magic: The Gathering Tournament Rules and the Magic: The Gathering Infraction Procedure Guide are in effect for this event unless specifically overruled by information in this Format Document. Rules documents can be found in the Magic Document Center.
Players must bring pen, paper, card sleeves and appropriate counters.

New tournaments will begin every time 32 players sign up. First place wins a three-round bye in Grand Prix Ghent and 10 booster packs. Other prizes determined by match wins: 4 wins gives you 10 boosters, 3 wins is 6 boosters, 2 wins is 4 boosters and 1 win is 2 boosters.

Other Grand Prix Ghent Trials will be run at WPN locations in the weeks leading up to the Grand Prix. Each offers one three-round bye to Grand Prix Ghent.

Vu que tout y est en patois je n'ai pas vraiment cherché pour vérifier que c'était un bon plan ou non.

J'avoue, il y en a pas mal qui vendent du rêve.

Les cartes illustrées par chacun des deux artistes présents au Grand Prix : Karl Kopinski et Svetlin Velinov (en sachant qu'il est également possible que des cartes de Planechase 2012 et Magic 2013 soient également leur oeuvre).

remarque que j'avais pas trop l'intention de faire de l'EDH en SE, hein. mais bon le format de GP étant déjà très pourri, va peut etre falloir que je meuble mon WE.

En gros, y'aura du Commander, simplement c'est gratuit et sans dotation, on se contente de t'aider à trouver des partenaires de jeu. Et je trouve que c'est exactement ainsi que ça devrait se passer concernant ce format.

Sinon, l'organisateur du GP (et donc ceux en charge des choix des tournois satellites) n'est pas Wizards of the Coast mais Dazzle Games.

Et mes plus gros regrets : contrairement à Malmö, il n'y a pas de Grand Melee, et contrairement à Madrid, il n'y a pas de Rochester Draft. Mais globalement j'aime bien ce qui est proposé : des tournois pour casuals (scellés en Regular, chaos drafts...), des trucs pour joueurs compétitifs (avec des cash coupons, des FoW...), avec quelques trucs sexys en prime (une box Revised à gagner, ça n'arrive pas tous les jours). Y'a normalement quelque chose pour chacun, quelque soit le style de jeu et le format préféré.

Non, c'est un side en Legacy Singleton. Du Commander en 1 contre 1, ce n'est pas du Commander.

Assez débordé en ce moment, j'ai laissé passer la date butoir pour demander un rôle précis lors du Grand Prix Ghent.

C'est dommage, car en ce moment je m'éclate vraiment dans les équipes de "community", chargés par exemple d'évaluer les arbitres et de les recommander pour le niveau supérieur. Ce n'est pas que je n'aime pas les autres équipes des Grand Prix, mais bon, arbitrer un side event, au bout d'un moment, j'en ai fait le tour quoi. C'est sympa mais c'est pas ma passion. Mais bon, j'ai sans arrêt d'autres trucs urgents en tête, ça me stress de sentir que ce truc me glisse entre les pattes, et je me fais à l'idée qu'on va me caser là où il y a de la place.

Et là, je viens de recevoir mon programme pour le Grand Prix.

Jour 1 : Logistique sous la direction de Steffan, un L3 allemand très sympathique et avec qui je n'ai pas beaucoup bossé (donc qui a plein de trucs à m'apprendre), avec un L2 tchèque comme binôme, et le Regional Coordinator Bénélux dans mon équipe. Ok, pas le rôle le plus excitant (surtout que la logistique, sur les GP en construit, c'est pas le plus gros des défis), mais il y a peu de rôles excitants en jour 1 (enfin pour les L2), donc ça ira. On commence à 7h30, dur avec le trajet, mais bon on sait bien qu'arbitrer sur un GP ça veut dire peu de sommeil, et j'aurai sans doute fini durant la ronde 8.

Jour 2 : Certification.
Je ne sais pas encore si je vais tester des L0 pour le L1, ou aider à tester des L1 pour le L2, mais c'est exactement ce que j'aurai demandé. Du coup vous vous en foutez peut-être, mais moi, pour le coup, je suis comme ça :

Hello judges, here is the schedule for our Friday Judge Conference!
Almost 70 of us registered, which is quite impressive, and to accommodate this large number we will split the conference when able. Which means that at some point you will have two different seminars presented at the same time, usually one for new judges (L1s and new L2s) and one for experienced judges (veteran L2s and L3+). You're obviously free to attend the one you prefer, regardless of your level.

And yes, the Legacy seminar will be presented twice, in order to allow most people to attend it - I heard there is some kind of tournament in this format starting Saturday.

Some judge foil promo cards will be given during the day to all certified judges, by small packages and at the end of different seminars. Which mean that you will have to attend them during the whole day to get all foils, but also that coming or leaving during the day will still get you some of those tokens of recognition for your enduring hard work.

If you're traveling with people interested by judging, but not certified yet, they are welcome to the conference, but won't get any judge promo card unless they get certified during the conference itself.

- on tire des tables de 8 pour draft
- les joueurs sont paired au hasard entre les 32
- 2 rounds de single elimination, les elimines recoivent un bon pour un draft (draft normal a 15eur c est ca un chain draft???)
- les 8 derniers se font de nouveau un draft entre eux pour les lots

c est quoi le prizing d'un draft normal deja?

En toute logique, pas paired au hasard entre les 32. Tu ne peux être apparié que contre quelqu'un qui a drafté à ta table.
