Grand Prix–Gothenburg will feed Pro Tour No. 1 in 2011 (location TBA).

* Friday, August 27: Registration 17:30 – 20:00
* Saturday, August 28: Registration 08:00 – 09:00
* Saturday, August 28: Tournament begins at 09:30
* Sunday, August 29: Day Two begins at 08:00

The main tournament at Grand Prix–Gothenburg is open to Magic players of all ages.

Tournament Format

* Day 1: Sealed Deck
* Day 2 and Top 8: Booster Draft
* Sealed Deck Product: 6 Magic 2011 booster packs
* Booster Draft Product: 3 Magic 2011 booster packs
* Deck lists are required
* If product is not stamped or preregistered, deck registration and deck swap will be performed for the Swiss Sealed Deck.

Tournament Structure

* Modified Swiss-style (50-minute rounds).
* Rules Enforcement Level (REL) is Competitive (Day 1) and Professional (Day 2)
* If 799 or fewer players register for the event, all players with an X-2-0 or better record OR the top 64 players—whichever number is greater—will advance to the second day of the event.
* If 800 or more players register for the event, all players with an X-2-0 or better record OR the top 128 players—whichever number is greater—will advance to the second day of the event.
* The Top 8 players after the final Swiss round on Day 2 will advance to the Top 8 single-elimination finals.
* Top 8 playoff matches will be best 2 of 3, and have no time limit. (Players are still expected to play at a normal pace and complete playoff matches in a reasonable amount of time.)
* The Top 8 players will be seated randomly at the draft table immediately prior to drafting. The Top 8 bracket will be determined using this random seating.
* Where necessary, the standings after the Swiss rounds will still be used to determine final order in the standings.

* 40K, Rules Enforcement Level (REL) is Competitive (Day 1) and Professional (Day 2)
* The Magic: The Gathering Tournament Rules and the Magic: The Gathering Infraction Procedure Guide are in effect for this event unless specifically overruled by information in this Format Document. Rules documents can be found in the DCI Document Center.
* Players must bring pen, paper, card sleeves and appropriate counters.
* In the event that a player who wins an invitation to a Pro Tour stop at a Grand Prix has already qualified for an invitation, the invitation does not pass down under any circumstances. Previous qualification may be through a Qualifier tournament, through performance at a professional tournament, or by being an invited DCI player (valid upon the date of the official rank announcement for the appropriate professional tournament).

Tournament Byes

Byes will be given to players in the Grand Prix based on the following criteria (Byes are not cumulative throughout the season or year. Byes do not pass down under any circumstances. Players that accumulate multiple byes to a particular Grand Prix tournament receive only the bye for the greatest number of rounds):

Third-Round Byes

* Players with a Players Club level of 4 or higher
* Players with a DCI Total rating of 2050 or higher. Byes are based on DCI Total ratings published on August 25, 2010.
* Winners of Grand Prix–Gothenburg Trial tournaments.

Second-Round Byes

* Players with a Players Club level of 2 or 3
* Players with a DCI Total rating of 1950 or higher. Byes are based on DCI Total ratings published on August 25, 2010.

First-Round Byes

* Players with a Players Club level of 1
* Players with a DCI Total rating of 1850 or higher. Byes are based on DCI Total ratings published on August 25, 2010.

Trial winners
People who win a Trial event are awarded 3 byes in the Grand Prix that it feeds. Trial byes are not cumulative with other byes and do not pass down.

Participate in an 8-player single elimination draft tournament before 15.00 on Saturday and pay only half the normal entry fee.

11:00 EDH pick up tournaments (Entry fee: SEK50; Each player will be given an "EDH Ticket". When a player eliminates another player, he takes the other player's ticket. Each ticket can be redeemed at the Public Events registration desk for two boosters of Magic 2011(while supplies last, during registration hours); Games will begin as soon as 4 players register. Players will play a single EDH game. Current EDH rules can be found here.

15.00 Two-Headed Giant – Magic 2011 Sealed Deck tournament (Registration closes at 14.45; Entry fee SEK300 per team; Prize pool 2 boosters PP; Product: 8 Magic 2011 boosters; 4 rounds, prize payout based on point standing)

Grand Prix–Gothenburg Event Information : les side events, les artistes, etc.

Bon, qui n'y va? faudrait penser à mettre le tout en place... réserver les tickets et l'hôtel...

A la base ça me tentait bien mais en fait, c'est loin ...

Puis en plus c'est du sealed deck. A moins que tu m'expliques une technique pour construire ton deck qui repose sur autre chose que la chance dans le pool que tu reçois, alors ça peut me faire changer d'avis.

Bon maintenant, faut encore voir si t'as envie que je t'accompagne ^^

Je vais y aller et je compte monter un ptit van pour le trajet, je dois voir encore les details mais à priori: 3 nuits d'hotel et le trajet devraient couter environ 220 euros.

Moi, je suis hyper chaud pour le GP!!
Si vous avez des plans.. Sinon j'y vais en avion et hotel.

Pas de GP Gothenburg pour moi. J'aime arbitrer mais sans sponso 330€ c'est trop pour que je puisse espérer rentrer dans mes frais.
